While the country fell into despair through the periods of Japanese colonial rule and the internecine Korean War, Kukje Electric Wire built a foundation for industrial development by leading the build-out of power and communication networks for the national backbone industries.
Kukje Electric Wire has been leading related industries by supplying PVC wires as the first in Korea in 1957 and completing the world’s second KCR line (continuous casting and rolling facility) in 1990. Following a period known as Heesung Cable, the company name was changed to GAON CABLE in 2004. GAON CABLE has since been growing continuously as Korea’s representative cable company.
